Branding & Logo Design
Alpine Cove
-
Create a logo, establish a brand, and present marketing samples for a tumbler company.
-
For my senior show, I wanted to document the creation of a logo/brand from start to finish. My employers at Victory Awards & Promotions were looking to branch out into a customized tumbler business & asked me to assist with the initial branding.

Initial Sketches
I proposed the name Alpine Cove and began creating thumbnail sketches. Rather than go straight to the computer, I started out by refining my rough sketches and exploring variations. These sketches were later used alongside my initial research notes in my senior exposition.
Revision Round 1
Vectors & Type
After vectoring my favorite logos & deciding on a font, I played around with colors, layouts, and the elements of each design. This stage helps determine details that are either essential or unnecessary in the design.
The Final Logo Set
The final logo has a mountain range and an abstracted shoreline bottom. The final type used was Geometros Rounded which was complimented by the rounded edges of the mountain top.
Color & Texture
The icy blue and teal reinforce the idea of the tumbler’s purpose. The orange has a cool undertone but still provides contrast to the palette. I created a textured version of the logo to create a rugged outdoorsy look.
Mock posters helped create the brand by showing who and what the company represent. This textured version was used as the primary logo for these examples.
Senior Exhibition
My exhibition showcased a makeshift design studio with the process of creating the logo and style for the tumbler company. I engraved 3 examples of the tumblers the company would customize with the logos.
