Lulu's Logo Initial Sketches

Early Concepts

I drew inspiration from textured logos, handwritten typefaces, and retro layouts. My ultimate goal was to create a weathered texture on the final version of the logo.

Round 3 of Revisions

During this stage, I worked with an inverted palette to see how logos would hold up on alternative background. I wanted to be sure the texture would be visible on a darker layer when the inverse logo was used on dark backgrounds.

After considering the advantages & disadvantages of the script typefaces, I settled on Rift, Bold with a texture for the final design. I provided a logo suite that included a wordmark, icon, & a seal. Out of a group of 15 designers, my final design made it into the top two for selection.
