  • Valentina’s hot sauce was founded in 1960 by Don Manuel Maciel, originating in Tanazula. Today the sauce is sold globally. They have a range of sizes and seasonings. This project had me rebrand a reimagine new flavors to show how this new packaging could translate between products.

The Final Logo

Reimagining a Brand

It was important to me that this well-established brand’s new logo combined modern typefaces and styles with a traditional badge and patterns. I began with researching the origins of the original logo. The hot sauces humble beginnings are represented in their logo by the slanted “Valentina” typeface, overlapping the shape of Tamazula.

Old vs. New

The new packaging aims to create a more visually interesting label that stands out on the shelf. The new bottle shape also serves to catch the buyer’s eye with its sleek body and nostalgic cork top similar to the leading competitors.

Creating an advertisement that shows off the new logo and packaging was an important last step to determine if this new label holds up on its own. The unique design and high contrast creates a visually appealing element on the shelf and the page.

Valentina’s rebrand and packaging photos were showcased in an assortment of sample advertisements.
